Winifred has extensive academic and professional experience. Since 2019, she has provided tuition and been a mock exam marker for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and the Association of Accounting Technicians as well as BPP University and First Intuition. Winifred has also worked as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire. She has previously worked professionally at Capital Guards Ltd. as a Business Development Manager and at Spie Ltd. as a an Accounts Payable Assistant.

Academic Interests

Winifred has expertise in the fields of accounting, business and finance. She has taught various academic levels which cover foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Bedfordshire. She has taught on modules such as Contemporary Society in a Global World, Business Finance, Managerial Accounting and Finance, Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation, Strategic Management, and Strategic Finance.

Research Interests

Winifred is currently completing a PhD in Entrepreneurial Finance which focuses on how entrepreneurial firms within the UK can mitigate financial constraints they face in order to maintain steady levels of innovation that is central to their survival. Given the difficulties faced by small and medium entrepreneurial firms in raising finance for start-up and growth phases of their life cycles, it is essential that they understand the roles, entrepreneurial biases and intellectual capital can play in successfully raising external finance. She is also interested in corporate finance, financial markets, accounting research, strategic finance and corporate governance.

Enterprise, Commercial & Consultancy Activities

Winifred offers consultancy and business advice to large and small entrepreneurial firms both in the UK and Africa on issues relating to robust financing mechanisms that aid optimal business performance.
