Background

Hossein is a lecturer in business and management with teaching experience since 2012. He also has ten years of experience in working in business operations in the telecommunication and IT sectors. Prior to joining UWTSD London, he served as a lecturer/tutor in business and economics in various private colleges in Oxford.

He gained his Associate Degree in Business & Accounting from Shamsipour Technical College in 2002. In 2006, he gained his BSc Accounting degree from Azad University and in 2012, he gained his MSc degree in International Business Management. In 2014, he obtained his MBA degree from the University of Gloucestershire and in 2020 he gained his PhD in Management Studies from Brunel University London.

Academic Interests

His doctoral research and two masters concentrated on the areas of Strategic Management, International Business, and Supply Chain Management. He has also taught different modules in the broad area of Strategic Management and International Business at higher education. In specific, at the postgraduate level, he teaches on modules such as Strategic Management, Marketing Management, Supply Chain Management and Research Methods. In terms of undergraduate study, he has taught on modules such as Marketing Essentials, The Global Business Environment, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management & Sustainability and International Business Communication.

Research Interests

Throughout his doctoral research, he explored supply chain disruption risk management in the corporate acquisition context. During the last few years he has supervised different research projects in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His main research focus is corporate strategy and international business operations in medium-sized and multinational enterprises. He invites any potential doctoral candidates to contact him with the following research interests: Strategic Management, Enterprise Risk Management, and Supply Chain Management.

Enterprise, Commercial & Consultancy Activities

He has conducted a wide range of market research and strategic planning for firms in the telecommunication industry. He also worked with early-stage businesses in the education sector, advising on business planning and development. He has also conducted many workshops and seminars related to the business proposal or business plan preparations for any kind of business (start-up or extension).
